Enhancing hospitality and positive experiences for customers, clients, congregants and members is always good business!  Creating a supportive environment where those living with dementia and their care partners are respected and welcomed is a good practice.   Individuals and organizations that become Dementia Friendly become stakeholders in the well-being of the entire community.

Why should I/we be Dementia Friendly?

More than 5.4 million people are living with Alzheimer’s Disease alone in the US. One in two households will be affected in the next 10 years.  Supporting people in the community who have dementia increases their independence, confidence and ensures loyalty to your organization.
