We will cover possible changes in reading facial expressions\, understanding tone of voice\, and interpreting social cues during everyday conversation. Learn how and why the onset and progression of dementia may affect empathy\, motivation\, and emotional control (at times increasing anxiety\, withdrawal\, or argumentative behavior). Attendees will gain practical ways to adapt communication and create supportive social environments during these changes.

We will cover possible changes in balance\, movement\, and coordination\, as well as shifts in sleep patterns and other body processes. We will discuss challenges like difficulty with buttons or utensils\, changes in swallowing\, bathroom needs\, and sleep disturbances. Attendees will learn practical ways to adapt daily routines\, create safer environments\, and know when to seek additional support.
