SUMMARY:Beyond Memory: How Dementia Affects the Body
DESCRIPTION:This workshop explores how dementia affects physical abilities and things our bodies do without us thinking about them\, like sleep and temperature control. We will cover possible changes in balance\, movement\, and coordination\, as well as shifts in sleep patterns and other body processes. We will discuss challenges like difficulty with buttons or utensils\, changes in swallowing\, bathroom needs\, and sleep disturbances. Attendees will learn practical ways to adapt daily routines\, create safer environments\, and know when to seek additional support.
