Understanding Home Safety Considerations: A Workshop for Caregivers and Aging Adults

March 5 @ 10:00 am 11:00 am

Supporting a loved one with dementia or cognitive impairment brings unique challenges to everyday
life. Whether you are supporting someone who lives independently or providing care in your home,
understanding home safety is important. The Hub on Smith invites you to a workshop that explores
ways to enhance home environments while supporting independence. Guest Speaker Brian Bainter,
Facilities Coordinator of The Hub on Smith, will share practical, cost-effective approaches to support
your loved one while preserving their dignity and autonomy, whether they are aging in their own home
or living with family. These ideas and considerations can benefit anyone who is aging and wishes to
maintain their independence longer in their own home.
